Costa Blanca

Costa Blanca (the White Coast) lies on the east coast of Spain and attracts millions of tourists every year due to its clear waters and pale sandy beaches. On its north coast, mountains run parallel to the water.

Alicante is the capital of this region, but Benidorm is the greatest attraction, offering the ideal family vacation, a buzzing nightlife and hundreds of restaurants, shops and bars. Benidorm literally caters for every need. It is divided into 3 sections and has a new region which has been extended onto Playa Levante, called Rincon de Loix. This houses 4 star hotels and high end apartments.

Benidorm’s beaches are distinctive in their cleanliness, and there are also hidden coves to explore.

To the south of Alicante is Torrevieja, a coastal town featuring a Natural Park and two salt lakes.

There are various theme parks in the Costa Blanca region. The Papagayo features exotic birds as well as Australian kangaroos. The Safari Park houses 14,000 different animals and is set in 35 hectares, while the Rio Safari and Safari Aitania are big game parks. As well as these parks, Costa Blanca offers The Oceanograhic, which includes 7 aquariums, including the dolphinarium.
